Nelson Mandela Univrsity Racing s a multi-disciplinary student-driven initiative providing an opportunity for students to design, build and race single-seater cars against universities from around the world.
Nelson Mandela University racing competed in the 2011 Formula Student Germany competition in Hockenheim, built their second racing car dubbed "DibaTwo", and is currently busy with "DibaE", which will be electrically-powered and incorporate many "Green Technology" concepts. In 2014, Nelson Mandela University Racing also took over the management of the Mini Baja project, and is building an all-new Mini Baja off-road vehicle to compete in the 2014 Sasol Mini Baja competition in Pretoria!
